Finance stars take senior promotions for offering outstanding value to housebuilder

- 23 Dec 20

Two finance stars have been promoted to senior divisional roles within Vistry Group after impressing with their enthusiasm and talent. Sally Seabrook and Andy Norton have been appointed Vistry divisional finance directors to the East and South divisions respectively. Sally, formerly finance director at Vistry Cotswolds – which includes housebuilding brands Bovis Homes and Linden Homes – said she was delighted with her new appointment. She said: “Being part of a company like Vistry in such a vital industry for the economy, work feels like a great responsibility and that’s what I love about it. It’s so important for our customers, buying a house is a huge investment and it’s important for the country that people are buying, and that’s why I feel privileged to start this new role.” Sally, from Leamington Spa, joined the company as a divisional management accountant in 2015, and has gone on to enjoy a number of varied finance roles, including in five of the seven previous Bovis Homes regions, to help cover where needed. Andy, former finance director for Vistry South West said: “What’s great about housebuilding is it’s a tangible product that you’re working with and there’s a life cycle. Finance is a really important aspect of that. We’ve got Vistry people working under the Linden and Bovis Homes brands and one of the big priorities for me is helping to streamline processes and ways of working with a consistent approach and across the different divisions as well.” A qualified chartered accountant, Andy trained with PwC in Birmingham and previously held finance roles at Bankers Trust Australia, Cadbury and Tesco plc. He was part of the original management team who helped to successfully set up and grow the Bovis Homes South West region after relocating to Torquay from St Albans in 2014. Keith Carnegie, chief executive officer of Vistry Housebuilding, said: "These are two very exciting appointments for Vistry and will have a large impact on the whole business. Sally works incredibly hard, is pro-active, and has the increasingly rare skill to see things through to their conclusion, while resolving problems along the way. "Andy is an excellent communicator and can break down complex issues so that they are easy to understand. He is more than happy to share his knowledge across the business. Andy always displays the highest levels of integrity, and he is not afraid to challenge others to display the same values."
