A national housebuilder’s new Warwickshire location of more than 150 homes, on the former Long Marston Airfield, is ready for take-off after reserved matters approval. Bovis Homes – now part of Vistry Group – will start work on constructing the 154 properties, which include 30 affordable homes, next year after its application was approved by Stratford-on-Avon District Council. Remediation and off-site highway works are already underway for the development, off Campden Road, near Stratford-upon-Avon, and the properties will include those from Bovis Homes’ latest collection. Andrew Harvey, regional land director at Bovis Homes, said: “Bovis Homes is very excited our new Long Marston development on the former airfield site, close to Stratford-upon-Avon, is now ready for take-off. “We are pleased our reserved matters planning application for 154 homes, including 30 affordable homes, highways and all associated works, has been approved in line with our acquisition program, by way of a delegated decision.” Properties in Bovis Homes' latest homes collection are named after British trees and focus on well-proportioned exteriors with a real sense of light and flow on the inside. They include the four-bedroom Chestnut, which includes a ground-floor study, an open-plan kitchen with a family area with bi-folding doors to the back garden, plus, upstairs, a master bedroom with a built-in wardrobe and en suite. Also, a three-bedroom Poplar, which has three storeys, an open-plan kitchen with dining area, a separate sitting room and, on the top floor, a master bedroom with a dressing room and en suite.
