- 01 Feb 21

Vistry Group, which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, has promoted Steve Rickard to customer services director for the south west region. Previously the head of customer services, Steve – a former police inspector – has worked in the housebuilding industry for the past six years, spending time in the customer services and sales and marketing departments. At Vistry, he is responsible for a team of 11, ensuring customers receive an excellent service once they have moved in and any issues are rectified quickly and to a high standard. A keen golfer, Steve lives with his wife in Cornwall and has two children and two grandchildren. Commenting on his appointment, Steve said: “I am delighted to have been promoted. It’s a very forward-thinking company, with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. It’s amazing that the housebuilding industry has performed well in a difficult year and great to see how well the team has adapted, finding innovative ways of doing things differently to ensure our customers could move to their new homes safely. “Interestingly, my wife and daughters all work in the housebuilding industry and we’d all agree, there’s nothing better than seeing a customer happy in their new home. I’m going to enjoy the new role and the extra responsibilities it will bring, while working with my brilliant team.” Managing director, Paul Moran, added: “Steve is a great asset to the region. He has a wealth of experience and we’re thrilled to have him on board as a director. Creating high quality homes is very important to us and Steve has a strong track record in delivering fantastic levels of customer service with his team; he’s the perfect person for the job. “This year, we are building over 500 homes in the South West, plus we’re launching some exciting new developments in Wadebridge, Wellington and Bickington, near Barnstaple. It’s a very busy time for housebuilding at the moment, there’s the stamp duty holiday and lots of people are aspiring to live in smaller towns and villages in beautiful parts of the world, so interest and reservation levels are high. We’re pleased Steve has been promoted as the region continues to grow, it’s going to be a busy year.”
