The search begins to find West Sussex’s most photogenic pet

- 30 Sep 20

Bovis Homes’ South East region is on the hunt for West Sussex’s most photogenic pet to become the Star of the Show Home for its Yapton View development. The housebuilder has set the challenge to cat and dog owners across the county to enter their furry companions to become the star of a new campaign. In keeping with the animal-loving spirit, Bovis Homes – as part of the Vistry Group – will donate £5 for every entry received – up to a value of £500 – to Clymping Dog Sanctuary in Arundel which has been rehoming dogs since 1952, caring for and finding homes for every dog that comes through its doors. The winning pet will be selected and invited to star in a photoshoot in November. The photos captured will feature across Bovis Homes promotional materials, with pet owners also receiving professional copies of their beloved pet as they take the spotlight. Vistry Group regional sales and marketing director, Ginny James, said: “We’re very excited to be launching this new competition, animal lovers know only too well that pets are what make a house a home, which has been especially true during recent times of lockdown. “This is why we think our pets need to be celebrated and we’re looking forward to treating two lucky furry companions with their moment to shine as the face of our new developments in West Sussex.” For the chance of seeing your characterful canine companion or marvellous moggy become the four-legged face of Bovis Homes’ Yapton View development, owners should email a photograph and 100-word biography about their pet to star@vistrygroupcomp.co.uk. The deadline for entries is 20th October 2020. Nigel Stentiford at Clymping Dog Sanctuary commented: “This is such a lovely way of helping us make a difference to the lives of the dogs we have here. We have never – and will never – put a healthy dog down, even if it means they become a permanent resident with us. This competition and the funds it will help raise means we can continue caring for these dogs, as well as being able to look after those coming into the sanctuary.” Yapton View is a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes, ideally located for coastal living with well-connected transport links. The development sits within a lovely community in West Sussex with plenty of local shops, a primary school and a pub. Prices start from £315,000 for a two-bed home. Terms and conditions 1. There is no limit to the number of entries that can be made. 2. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 20th October 2020; any entries received after this date will not be accepted. 3. Entrants must reside in Arundel and the surrounding areas. 4. Winners must agree to have their details used for publicity purposes. 5. Winners will be informed by phone or email. 6. Winners should be available to attend the photoshoot along with their pet in November 2020. Further details will be confirmed in due course. 7. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
