Vistry Eastern appoints new land and planning director

Vistry Eastern has appointed Jason Andrews as the new land and planning director for its division of the national Vistry Group, based in Chelmsford. Jason, 52, has said he aims to use ‘old school’ methods to rise to his latest work challenge with the company, which was formed in 2020 and brings together Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships. The married father-of-three, who has held a similar position at other housebuilding companies in a career spanning almost 30 years, said: “Vistry Group was only formed in 2020 so part of my job will be to make sure as many people as possible know exactly who we are and that we mean business. “One of the challenges in my role here is to increase the visibility of the company – to raise its profile. The way I intend to do that is, effectively, to go ‘old school’ and utilise my historic contact network across the Eastern region and beyond and get out and meet people rather than sitting in an office sending emails. This will be the most effective way to get the word out about Vistry Eastern.” “My job involves the identification, negotiation and the purchase of new land alongside the securing of the necessary planning approvals and any further changes that occur during the development process” he said. “The role integrates with an experienced existing management team in the Eastern region that is currently delivering new homes in Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. “Our target schemes are traditional family housing sites above 100 units with a range and mix of products across all price ranges that with the Bovis and Linden brands offer more to customers than our competitors in the region.” “I am glad to have been given the chance to take on this new challenge with Vistry Eastern. I intend to help the division grow and expand its already impressive portfolio.” When he is not at work, Jason is a keen F1 fan, but his real passion is rugby. “I am a devoted Saracens supporter and I am never happier than when I am watching rugby with a beer in my hand,” he said.
