Radford Semele is just one mile from Royal Leamington Spa along the A425 and around two miles from the town's railway station. From there trains run to London, Birmingham, Oxford, Manchester and many other UK towns and cities. Junction 13 of the M40 is approximately nine miles away, leading south to London via Banbury, Bicester and Oxford, and Junction 14 gives access north to the M42 and Birmingham. The A46 that connects Coventry to the M5 is around 12 miles. For air travel Birmingham Airport is 27 miles away.
A trip to the shops
Radford Semele has its own village shop and post office. In Royal Leamington Spa you'll find a fantastic selection of specialist and independent boutiques, major high street stores and supermarkets in a picturesque town centre. The Royal Priors Shopping Centre offers nearly 60 stores including Marks & Spencer and there's a House of Fraser department store nearby. For city shopping it's less than 30 miles to Birmingham's Bullring and 40 miles to the designer outlet at Bicester Village. The historic castle town of Warwick and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon offer further choice.
Taking time out
Radford Semele is a vibrant community with a 16th century pub The White Lion, the Grade II listed St Nicholas Church, a community centre, youth groups, a WI, football and sports clubs. The nearby River Leam is a favourite with anglers and the Grand Union Canal offers scenic towpath walks and bike rides, being part of the National Cycle Network. Sample the Spa waters at Leamington's Royal Pump Rooms now home to the town's Art Gallery, Museum and Library and enjoy the historic, landscaped Jephson Gardens opposite. For theatre, music, cinema and arts events visit The Royal Spa Centre and for sports and fitness The Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre and Golf Course are about two miles away.
Education
Radford Semele has its own Church of England Primary School which achieved an Ofsted 'Good' rating in July 2015. There are three mixed comprehensive schools in Royal Leamington Spa for 11 to 18 year olds, Campion School; North Leamington School; and the Voluntary Aided Trinity Catholic School. At Warwick, King's High School for Girls and Warwick School for boys are independent. For higher education the Royal Leamington Spa College offers A levels and full and part-time professional and business courses.
