Home hunters in Shifnal can book appointments for new family show home next month

- 28 May 20

Home hunters in Shifnal looking for green open space with strong commuter links should look no further than Bovis Homes’ nearly completed family location – and a new show home is soon to be open.

Bovis Homes' Iddeshale Gardens in Shifnal
Bovis Homes’ Iddeshale Gardens, off Haughton Road, and close to a national cycle route, is more than 75 per cent finished and boasts impressive three, four and five-bedroom properties from the housebuilder’s latest collection, including the five-bedroom show home.

The Birch show home can be viewed on an appointment-only basis next month and visitors will be impressed by the housebuilder’s support packages and the surrounding area – which has led to Bovis Homes colleagues moving to the development.

Located close to the M54 and M6, the development is proving popular with families using Help to Buy – Equity Loan and Key Worker schemes. New footpaths have been installed and the development is close to the town centre and national heritage sites.

Lou Macrae, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes – which is part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – said: “Iddeshale Gardens offers a unique family lifestyle with high quality homes from out latest property collection. They are located on a cul-de-sac, with safe and private roads surrounded by open green space, plus new footpaths in place to enjoy the local environment.

“Our wonderful development is home to Bovis Homes workers as they like it that much. It’s a short distance from Shifnal town centre, which has great independent shops and local heritage sites close by. Commuting is easy to the M54 and M6 for access to large cities.

"House hunters will be able to make an appointment as soon as Iddeshale Gardens is back open. Visit our website and get in touch with a sales advisor for more information on this, or sign up to the mailing list to be kept up-to-date.”

The scheme for key workers includes £2,500 for home buyers to spend as they wish on their new property, plus £450 of John Lewis vouchers.

Bovis Homes is looking to recognise the army of volunteers in the county who have recently signed up to help the NHS, by offering them a special house buying package too, which will run until the end of the year.

The housebuilder already runs an attractive purchasing package for key workers, which has now been extended to include all those who have signed up for the recent NHS volunteer scheme – as well as all those newly-classified by the Government as key workers in the battle against the coronavirus.

The company has been looking to support the national effort to combat COVID-19, actively encouraging staff who are not at work to volunteer, and helping to organise collections of critical medical kit to hospitals in different parts of the country.

Now Bovis Homes is offering this special deal which includes £500 off for every £25,000 of the purchase price and flooring up to the value of £3,000 – and as a new-build property these could be combined with access to the Government’s own popular Help to Buy 5% deposit scheme.

The extended scheme is in place for the rest of 2020 which means that when restrictions are lifted and the country is in a happier place, hopefully sooner rather than later, those who were part of the effort will still be able to benefit and buy a new home with these added money-saving features.

The first step in Bovis Homes' safety drive to meet Government guidelines and welcome visitors back to developments, has been to introduce an appointment-only booking system to reinforce social distancing measures and limit the number of people in the sales office or car park at the same time.

Only two visitors from the same household are allowed on each visit, and if customers arrive early, they are encouraged to stay in their car until the appointment time.

Once inside, there is clear signage and marking to enable social distancing, plus screens and hand sanitisers to provide added physical protection.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.
