Pupils at Oliver’s Battery Pre-School in Winchester are set to benefit after a welcome donation from local housebuilder, Bovis Homes.

Bovis Homes’ Winchester Village development is just a 12-minute walk from the pre-school, and the £200 boost from the housebuilder will be put towards renovation and maintenance work.

Kirsty Miller, Trustee at the pre-school, parent of a Oliver’s Battery student and Winchester Village resident, said: “The Pre-School was established in 1999 and is now in need of a renovation, including things such as new doors and windows.

“All funding we have goes on equipment, needed for the children, and daily expenses to better their early years’ experience, which is why donations from local businesses, such as Bovis Homes, is so valuable to us.

“We are extremely grateful for this donation and it will make a considerable difference to many Winchester locals, and most importantly the 18 children of Oliver’s Battery Pre-School CIO”.

Winchester Village was designed by renowned local architect Huw Thomas and there are just a few homes left to purchase. The properties offer beautiful traditional charm alongside the benefits of contemporary living.

This semi-rural location boasts a Park and Ride service that sits within the development, giving residents easy access to Winchester and its railway station, for those commuting to London.

Winchester Village is also within walking distance of a convenience store, only two miles from two supermarkets and is close to local schools. Central Winchester boasts independent stores, markets, a popular shopping complex as well a beautiful cathedral.

The Dashworth five-bedroom detached home, plot 89, is the development’s current home of the month. It boasts lovely views of open green space and a double garage. Inside you’ll find a spacious kitchen with an open-plan family area, plus a separate sitting room and dining room. There is also an en-suite bathroom to two bedrooms, plus a study.

For a limited time, Bovis Homes is offering to pay stamp duty on plot 89 – contact the sales team to find out more and for terms and conditions.

The sales office is open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Monday to Wednesday is by appointment only.
