Apprentice opportunities at Bovis Homes
- 23 May 16
Bovis Homes are currently looking for talented, committed young people across the country to join our apprenticeship scheme.
The scheme is expanding as we look to invest in youth and help boost the industry's ever-growing demand for skilled tradespeople in the process.
More regions are now taking on apprentices, learning their trades across our sites and offices, and focusing on a range of skills from bricklaying, carpentry and plumbing, as well as in office administration.
They will be looking to follow in the rigger boot steps of Jack Baber, a double winner of the annual Bovis Homes apprentice award, who is now an assistant site manager at the busy Charlton Hayes location near Bristol.
Former apprentice, Jack Baber
"When I finished the apprenticeship I was offered a job by Bovis which gives me the opportunity to get more training, more qualifications and hopefully work my way up the ladder in the company."
"These youngsters are the lifeblood of our industry," added Bovis Homes Chief Executive David Ritchie. "Taking on apprentices is particularly satisfying as we are not just offering employment opportunities, we are offering skills that will set up hard-working youngsters for life.
"We look to take on the very best apprentices and offer them full-time roles where they can develop skills and expertise. We hope many will progress to becoming valuable members of our site management teams.
"And it is fantastic that we now have former apprentices mentoring the latest crop of youngsters so we're building a strong platform that stands us in good stead to keep delivering quality local homes."
