A local house builder has continued its support for the Axminster Hospital League of Friends, boosting the charities funds and helping it in its bid to maintain a vital local service.

Bovis Homes has raised £7,800 for the Axminster Hospital League of Friends, which helps to support patients and others in the community and assist with the Hospital’s charitable work.

“We are delighted to be able to donate this amount to such a worthy cause,” says Stacey Banfield, regional marketing manager. “We’ve been supporting this charity for a two years now and the work they do is fantastic and fundamental to many in the Axminster community.”

A spokesperson for Axminster Hospital League of Friends said: “We were elated at the end of 2017 with a £4,000 donation to the League and are equally thrilled by the continued support from Bovis Homes with a further donation of £3,800. Axminster Hospital continues to thrive with its patients, day cases, state of the art x-ray, physiotherapy and the Conybeare unit. These donations will help to ensure that the League can continue to support this essential community asset.”

Since learning about a drop in donations to Axminster Hospital League of Friends two years ago, Bovis Homes pledged to donate £200 for every reservation at its Cloakham Lawns location.

“Axminster Hospital is a local facility which benefits the whole of the community and we were keen to help. Cloakham Lawns is such a popular location, so we’re delighted to provide this continued support,” says Stacey.

Cloakham Lawns, situated on the edge of Axminster, offers a range of two to five-bedroom homes, in a range of styles and layouts.
