Bovis Homes employee jumps at opportunity to raise money for charity

Big-hearted Bovis Homes employee Bethany Castle has jumped at the opportunity to leap out of a plane for charity.

The 22-year-old from Evesham isn't fazed by much - when she's not working in the Commercial department at Bovis Homes Western region she spends most of her free-time sailing over massive jumps on a horse!

And maybe it's because of that show jumping and eventing background that Bethany is in surprisingly high spirits about her plans to jump 10,000ft out of a plane at Hinton Airfield, near Brackley, this month.

She hopes to raise a total of £500 for The Shakespeare Hospice, an independent charity that provides specialist palliative day care for people living with serious illnesses in the Stratford-upon-Avon district.

Bethany, who is based in Bishops Cleeve, said: "I can't wait for my skydive and to raise some money for charity; I don't think the nerves have kicked in quite yet.

"My friend initially approached me about the idea and I thought it sounded like so much fun. She explained that it would be for a great charity too that helps people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families, so I thought, 'what better reason to jump out of a plane?!'

"I joined Bovis Homes as an apprentice in October 2012 and was offered a full-time position only a year later. I've always had high aspirations and I just really hope I can reach my target of £500 to support the fantastic care The Shakespeare Hospice provides."
