Bovis Homes opens first 'connected' show home in Haslington

- 31 Oct 17

National house builder Bovis Homes has launched its first 'connected' show home at its Hazelmere location in Haslington, Cheshire.

The five-bedroom Arundel show home is fitted with a state-of-the-art concealed cabling system, supplied by industry-leading installer Home Hub Installations.  The system is designed to connect all of the home's multimedia technology, including televisions, sound systems, smart thermostats, and CCTV cameras, maximising their functionality and reach across all rooms in the house and tidying all wires out of sight in the walls.

With all of the household's technology connected to the same platform, not only is there less demand on the home's WiFi service, but all devices can be controlled via a smart home app on a phone or tablet or by traditional remote controls or by voice control.

Bovis Homes is offering the optional package to all buyers at Hazelmere, in what is a pilot scheme for the business.

Lynton Dudgeon, Regional Sales Director at Bovis Homes, said: "The way that people interact with the technology in their homes is changing and this is an exciting new option to be able to offer our customers. Not only can this bring great aesthetic benefits to the home but it also puts the homeowner in a good position to take advantage of future developments in smart home technology too.

"We'd encourage anyone interested in finding out more about the system to pop along and take a tour with our team."

As well as the Connected Home, Bovis Homes also has a four-bed Montpellier show home at the Crewe Road location.

A total of 245 two-to-five bedroom homes will be built at Hazelmere from starter homes through to detached family houses, including more than 70 homes designated as affordable properties.

Alongside the new homes, the development will see Bovis Homes invest significantly in the local community, including almost £1 million towards primary and secondary education and £650,000 for highways improvements.
