Bovis Homes sponsors first Sandstone Ridge Festival

- 19 May 17

A new Cheshire arts festival, which brings together music, theatre, poetry and history, has received the backing of local house builder, Bovis Homes.

The Sandstone Ridge Festival sees events taking place at a range of venues from Thursday 18th May to Sunday 21st May in Cholmondeley, Tattenhall, Bunbury and Malpas, with each village taking a day to host the festival.

"We're extremely proud and excited to have been given the opportunity to support the very first Sandstone Ridge Festival," says Carina Wilde, Regional Marketing Manager for Bovis Homes. "With such a fantastic range of activities on offer, the event is a great way to bring the communities together, and highlight the many qualities of these villages, which are situated in such a wonderful landscape."

The festival will have a range of activities and events for all ages, including performances from the poet John Lindley, the Fellows of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and radio and TV presenter, Mark Radcliffe. Lady Milena Grenfell Baines, one of the 669 children saved by Sir Nicholas Winton during the Second World War and an internationally acclaimed speaker, will also be appearing. Elsewhere there will be talks on local history and literature and an organised tour of Cholmondeley Castle gardens.

Susie Delves Lomax, one of the event organisers, said: "As a voluntary arts festival in its inaugural year, the Sandstone Ridge Festival appreciates the support of Bovis Homes, which has helped towards providing a variety of art events for the local community."

Bovis Homes has a history of supporting local communities, and has previously been involved in events at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas, where the home builder is currently building a selection of three, four and five bedroom homes.

For more information about Bovis Homes' Hampton Lea location in Malpas, home seekers can visit the four-bedroom show home and sales information centre, which is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
