Bovis Homes steps up plans for new homes in Wombourne

- 20 May 19

Leading national housebuilder Bovis Homes is set to deliver more much-needed new homes to South Staffordshire after buying land in the village of Wombourne.

The site, at Beggars Bush Lane, currently has outline planning consent for up to 90 new homes, and Bovis Homes will now look to secure reserved matters approval on their proposals.

Matthew Haynes, senior land manager at Bovis Homes’ Mercia region, said: “We can’t wait to bring these fantastic new family homes to this popular village. Wombourne is ideally placed for local amenities and access to the wider area as well as having beautiful countryside and natural landscapes on the doorstep.

“We are now working closely with the Local Authority and community to bring forward these new homes as soon as possible, and we look forward to getting started on site.”

A 10-minute walk from the centre of the village, the site has been designed to provide a combination of one to five-bedroom properties. It sits on the eastern side of the village, close to a range of local amenities including schools, doctors and supermarkets.

It also has great connectivity to the nearby A449 giving access to other parts of the West Midlands as well as local countryside.

Public open spaces on the site will be accommodated through the retention of existing woodlands and the delivery of a new open green area in the heart of the development.
