Bovis Homes supports local foodbank

Staff at a local home builders have got into the festive spirit by donating to the Basingstoke foodbank.

The team at Bovis Homes' Southern Counties region has been collecting items for the charity which is part of the Trussell Trusts network which works with around 438 foodbanks across the country.

"We've recently moved into our Basingstoke office, and we were really keen to support the local community, especially at this time of year when things can be particularly hard," says Hollie Lockhart, regional marketing manager.

"We were delighted with the response we received from staff. Everyone was really keen to take part and support this worthy cause and we're thrilled to be able to do our part helping the community."

Staff donated a variety of food and toiletries to the charity, which is based at the Trinity Methodist Church. The Trussell Trust supports local foodbanks, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Recently moving from Reading to a new headquarters at Chineham Park in Basingstoke, the new office is now set in the geographical heart of Bovis Homes Southern Counties region, which covers sites across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire.
