Bovis Homes wants local feedback on Great Glen proposals

- 22 Nov 16

Local residents of Great Glen, Leicestershire are being invited to give their views on a proposed new 100 home development at a site in the village.

The proposed development on land off London Road is being put forward by leading national house builder Bovis Homes. The company is now keen to gather feedback from the local community to help shape the plans, ahead of submitting an outline planning application.

Residents are invited to a public exhibition at Great Glen Village Hall on 25 November from 2.00pm to 7.00pm where they will be able to view and discuss the current plans with members of the Bovis Homes project team.

The proposed location is preferred site for further housing development for the village, as outlined in the local Neighbourhood Plan.  The village centre and amenities are easily accessible by foot from the site.

Victoria Trotman, Strategic Planning Director at Bovis Homes, said: "This exhibition is key to understanding how these much-needed new homes can best serve the village of Great Glen. We are looking forward to meeting lots of local residents, discussing our proposals with them and getting their all-important feedback."

She added:  "Our vision is to create a neighbourhood of high quality new homes that will complement and enhance Great Glen.

"We're keen to incorporate comments and ideas wherever possible, and as part of the forthcoming planning application we will produce a Statement of Community Engagement which will show how the feedback we receive has helped shape the final plans."

For those unable to attend the exhibition, the information from it will be made available on a dedicated website following the event.
