Braunton FC score big win with backing from Bovis Homes

Braunton Football Club are celebrating after teaming up with a leading local house builder.

A proud supporter of local communities, Bovis Homes are pleased to be backing the Seasiders both on and off the pitch through an extensive sponsorship package.

It includes sponsorship of match days and the man-of-the match award for all four of the North Devon League club's adult teams, as well as advertising boards, the fixture board and clubhouse board at their home ground at Lobb Sports Field.

Braunton's base in Saunton Road is less than three miles from The Landings - Bovis Homes' new development comprising a wide range of two, three and four-bedroom properties.

Stacey Banfield, Bovis Homes' Regional Marketing Manager for the South West, said: "We're really pleased to be supporting the football club.

"They're an active part of the local community, running a number of junior teams for girls and boys, as well as the adult teams.

"It's fantastic that they offer so many opportunities for people to enjoy playing football and I'm sure that our new home owners at The Landings will be keen to get involved."

Toby Bennett, Braunton FC's head of commercial and chairman of the social committee, said the Seasiders were always keen to provide opportunities for children and adults to become part of the club.

"We've got between 400 and 500 members from under-sixes all the way up to the adult teams, so we're probably the biggest club in North Devon," he said.

"The main aim of the club is providing football for all abilities, so in regard to our youth teams, whether you're the best player in that age group or the least technical in that age group, you will be given opportunities to play football.

"As for the adult sides, we have a team in each division of the North Devon League, so we've got the teams to cater for everyone.

"We've got big plans to upgrade the facilities at the club and the support from Bovis Homes will go a long way towards helping us achieve our ambitions."
