Cheshire youngsters look the part thanks to boost from house builder

- 04 Dec 17

A Cheshire youth football team is hoping that some smart new kit will bring the players luck on the field, after receiving a sponsorship boost from a local house builder.

Middlewich Town under 13's are looking the part with new black and red training jackets thanks to Bovis Homes, which gave a £400 donation to the club.

"The team look great in their new coats - they really look the part," says regional marketing manager, Carina Wilde. "We're delighted to sponsor the football squad and give them a boost! Football clubs such as Middlewich Town are an important part of any community, encouraging kids to get out, play sport and be part of a team."

The squad play at Middlewich High School and are in division one of the Mid-Cheshire League. They are currently participating in three cup competitions, including the Cheshire Cup, in which teams throughout the county compete.

Tim Cookson, the team's coach, says: "We have to fund our own kit and training gear and it is a huge boost to the boys to have Bovis Homes sponsor them. It really makes a big difference when we arrive for games in smart jackets with a sponsor. It not only looks professional, but it makes them feel professional."

With numerous new locations across Cheshire, including Moulton, Sandbach, Haslington, Cuddington, Congleton, Nantwich, Malpas and Wrenbury, Bovis Homes has supported a range of local community clubs and organisations in the county, from sports teams and minibuses, to local festivals, fairs and events.
