Community open space works taking place at Longhedge Village
- 28 May 21
Community open space at the eastern boundary of Longhedge Village in Old Sarum, Salisbury will be undergoing works to complete the provision that is already proving popular locally. Pathways will be installed, landscaping will take place and a play park will be built, which will include a range of swings, a trim trail, seesaw, climbing frame and slide. A spokesperson for the consortium, which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes, commented: “We’re pleased to be enhancing this fantastic space and delighted it’s being used by so many already. Approximately half of the area is being fenced off to commence these works and we apologise to those who have been enjoying this great amenity. “We would like to reassure the community that parts of the space will remain open and you will be able to walk around the fencing, so it will not interfere with any walking routes. The other play parks and areas of open space at the development will still be available and we’ll continue to provide updates on the works. “We’d like to thank the local community for their patience and we look forward to fully opening the park and community open space later this year once it is completely finished - it’s going to be a beautiful area for the local community to enjoy.”
