Congleton site manager wins industry award

- 09 Aug 16

A site manager of a Cheshire development has won one of the house building industry's most prestigious awards in recognition of his team's work.

Steve Jones, who runs the Bovis Homes Loachbrook Meadow development in Congleton, was selected from over 16,000 other site managers from across the country to be given a 'Quality' award in this year's National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.

To win the award, the developments and the site managers have been judged by NHBC specialists, with every stage of the build inspected ensuring meticulous and consistent attention to detail. Site managers must also demonstrate excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes.

Steve will now be put forward for the 'Seal of Excellence Awards', where 130 site managers are selected. Winners of this accolade are announced at a series of award ceremonies held across the UK in the autumn.

Loachbrook Meadow offers a broad mix of 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms and varying designs, with 186 homes in total.

Joanne Morrison, Managing Director for Bovis Homes' Northern Region said: "At Bovis Homes we always strive to deliver new homes of the very highest standard and attractive developments that will become integral parts of local communities like Congleton. This award is testament to Steve and his team's dedication to meeting that standard and I'd like to offer my congratulations and wish them all the best in the next phase of the awards process."

Carl Noble, who manages Bovis' nearby Forest Edge site in Cuddington was also successful in the awards.
