Bovis Homes continually evolves and progresses its house designs to ensure its properties complement contemporary lifestyles and has done since the company was established in 1885.

At Bovis Homes’ Iddeshale Gardens in Shifnal and Haygate Fields in Wellington, the housebuilder is offering buyers the ultimate smart home package, with cables and devices built-in to create a clean, modern and stylish property.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer customers the chance to purchase a connected home, which could transform their day-to-day living,” says Kate Burrow, regional sales director. “The homes offer so much flexibility and with technology moving so quickly, the houses will be ready to move with the times.”

Bovis Homes has partnered with Home Hub Installations to bring the state-of-the-art concealed cabling system to many of its new properties. The set-up maximises the functionality reach across all rooms in the house, with all wires out of sight in the walls. The system is designed to connect all the home’s multimedia technology, including; televisions, sound systems, smart thermostats and CCTV cameras.

With all the household’s technology connected to the same platform, not only is there less demand on the home’s WiFi service, but all the devices can be controlled by a smart home app on a phone or tablet, by traditional remote controls or by voice control.

“The way that people interact with the technology in their home is changing and this is an exciting new option to offer our customers,” says Kate. “Not only can this bring great aesthetic benefits to the home, but it also puts the homeowner in a good position to take advantage of future developments in smart home technology too.”

Interested buyers will be able to see a connected home in action for themselves at Haygate Fields in March, when Bovis Homes opens its new three-bedroom Spruce and four-bedroom Aspen show homes. Meanwhile, visitors can get a taste of the style and quality of a Bovis Home by visiting the five-bedroom Winchester view home. Iddeshale Gardens has two show homes open for guests to look around, the three-bedroom Southwold and the five-bedroom Chester.

“It’s worth popping into our Shifnal or Wellington locations to take a look around and find out more about the homes available,” says Kate. “The neighbourhoods have been carefully designed with lots of green open spaces and footpaths throughout.

“Our contemporary homes boast en-suite bathrooms, modern open-plan kitchen and living areas, French doors out into the garden and bright, spacious sitting rooms.”

Bovis Homes offers a range of purchase assistance schemes, including the Help to Buy– Equity Loan scheme, which is exclusive to new-build properties and available to first-time buyers and existing home owners alike. Buyers can also take advantage of Bovis Homes’ Smooth Move scheme and Home Exchange. The schemes are for current home owners looking to move and can save purchasers time and money, with the housebuilder dealing with the estate agents on the seller’s behalf, as well as paying the fees when the old property is sold.
