Couple find dream home at Cloakham Lawns

- 12 Dec 16

After escaping the rat race, David and Wendy Nelson have finally found their dream home in Axminster thanks to a stress-busting part exchange scheme and a stylish new development in the town.

Moving across the country from their home in Gatwick, the couple had a stop-gap property in Shillingstone in Dorset, before finding out about Bovis Homes' Cloakham Lawns location.

"We had a holiday home nearby and have always loved this area - it's just stunning," says Wendy. "We wanted a change in lifestyle and there is just so much to do in and around Axminster, as well as lovely views wherever you look!"

David, who works part-time fitting black box devices in cars, and Wendy, who is now retired, initially moved into the three-bedroom Sheringham. But not long after moving, the couple decided to take advantage of Bovis Homes part exchange scheme and up-sized into the bigger four-bedroom Canterbury

"We really liked the location, but wanted more space," explains Wendy. "The process was really simple and Yasmine, the sales advisor, was fantastic and talked us through how it worked."

The Home Exchange scheme takes the stress and hassle out of selling up and moving home, as Bovis Homes buy the purchasers' existing property. It ensures a new Bovis Home is secured without costly estate agent fees and property chains and the scheme also allows buyers to stay in their existing house until their new home is ready.

"I just fell in love with the Canterbury," says Wendy. "It has such a good flow and just completely suits us. There's lots of storage and we've got space if the family want to come and stay."

The four-bedroom home has a large kitchen and dining area with French doors out into the garden. Upstairs there is a family bathroom as well as a built-in wardrobe and en-suite to the master bedroom.

"The sales team could not have been more helpful. Yasmine was excellent at her job and we couldn't fault her," continues Wendy. "The care and attention from the team was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they would do everything they could to help. They were just so caring."

Situated on the edge of Axminster, Cloakham Lawns provides a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. With all the homes built to a traditional standard, the popular location has welcomed many residents over the past two years.

"Overall, it has been fantastic - the sales team were great and we just love the house. We would definitely recommend Bovis Homes to anyone," says Wendy.
