Cricket club secures backing from local housebuilder

Players at Longstanton Grasshoppers Cricket Club are sporting fresh new kits this season as part of a £900 sponsorship deal with a local housebuilder. Vistry East Midlands, which is building nearby at two developments in Northstowe, has teamed up with the club to provide new gear for the first and second team squads. The new shirts have been emblazoned with the developer’s logo on the back, while a Vistry East Midlands banner has been erected at the club’s home ground at Longstanton Recreation Ground, off Over Road. Longstanton Grasshoppers Cricket Club has six teams for players of various ages and abilities. Its first and second teams play in the Cambridgeshire Cricket Association League.
