Cuddington site manager wins industry award

- 26 Jul 16

The site manager of a new homes development in Cheshire has won an industry award in recognition of his team's work.

Carl Noble, who runs the Bovis Homes Forest Edge site in Cuddington, has been given a 'Quality' award in this year's National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards in recognition of his team achieving the highest standards in house building.

Carl will now be put forward for the 'Seal of Excellence Awards', where 130 site managers are selected. Winners of this accolade are announced at a series of award ceremonies held across the UK in the autumn.

The Forest Edge development, once complete, will bring 164 homes of varying 3, 4 and 5 bedroom designs to the area.

Joanne Morrison, Managing Director for Bovis Homes' Northern Region said: "This award is testament to Carl and his team's dedication to meeting the very highest standards in quality - something which we share across Bovis Homes. It is a tremendous effort and they can justifiably feel very proud of their achievements. We wish Carl all the best in the next phase of the awards process and look forward to seeing the development at Cuddington continuing to take shape in line with the tremendous standards that the team there have set."

Carl said: "I'm delighted to have been given this award and I'm proud to share it with the site team at Forest Edge, many of whom come from the area and are dedicated to providing the highest quality homes for this community. The award is great feedback for the hard work the team have put in."

To win the award, the developments and the site managers have been judged by NHBC specialists, with every stage of the build inspected ensuring meticulous and consistent attention to detail. Site managers must also demonstrate excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes.

Steve Jones, who manages Bovis' nearby Loachbrook Meadow development in Congleton, was also successful in the awards.
