Early Christmas surprise for first-time buyers

Christmas has come early for first-time house buyers Ryan Doig and Kat Lewns, who will be moving into their new Bristol home during the festive season while also celebrating winning a holiday prize draw!

So it's a double celebration for the couple, who are moving to Bovis Homes' Apseley Park location in December after entering the house builder's holiday heat wave competition and bagging a £500 holiday voucher.

We had completely forgotten that we had entered! says Kat. We never win anything, so we didn't expect to win this time. It was such a surprise - a good one of course!

The Holiday Heat Wave prize draw was held in Bovis Homes' sales centres across the country and involved visitors having a photo taken in a special selfie frame. Ryan and Kat's entry was picked from all the entries in the Western region.

The couple are currently living in Stoke Gifford and are excited to be spending their first Christmas in their new three-bedroom home at Charlton Hayes, near Filton.

We'd been looking at a few houses in the local area and had heard quite a lot about Apseley Park so we thought we'd go and see what was available, says Kat. We had a look around the show home and loved it. We could both see ourselves living in a house there so we reserved a plot pretty much straight away.

The couple have been busy preparing for the move into their new 'Cranham' style home and are planning to arrange their holiday in the New Year.

We haven't made any real plans yet with the voucher as we've got so much going on with the house. We are planning to put it towards a holiday somewhere hot, hopefully in the summer, says Kat.
