- 07 Jul 21
With exam results due this August, many young people will be trying to decide what their next step will be and Vistry Group – which includes Bovis Homes and Linden Homes – has an exciting opportunity that will be perfect for someone who is interested in forging a technical career. A technical apprenticeship position, which involves earning and learning simultaneously, is available in the South West region and the award winning housebuilder is calling for applications. Based in the regional head office in Exeter, the full time role will involve working four days a week with one day studying towards an HNC qualification, which will be funded by the company. Regional technical director, Malcolm Gilmore explained: “This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has just finished their exams and is interested in a technical career in the industry. There is no preferred age, background or education – we are simply looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to develop within the business and we will fully support them. “We want to find and invest in the right person and as a result we’re happy for the successful candidate to shape the role based on their skills and interests – it could be anything from architecture to engineering or project management, including construction technology and urban design. “The apprentice will spend time with each department including Technical, Build, Commercial, Land and Sales to learn how each team works and supports each other. It’s a great company to work for; our chief executive started as an apprentice himself, so it’s a position that’s heavily valued within the business and it will hopefully lead to a very successful and enjoyable career.” Anyone interested in applying for the technical apprenticeship should send their CV to swtechapprentice@vistry.co.uk by 26th July.
