Families snap up new-build homes in Petersfield using part-exchange

Families are snapping up properties at a local housebuilder’s Petersfield location thanks to its countryside setting and proximity to town – and are using a part-exchange scheme.

House buyers are purchasing properties at Bovis Homes’ Beaumont Place location, off The Causeway, using the housebuilder’s Home Exchange initiative.

Beaumont Place is set within the South Downs National Park and is close to the town centre and Petersfield train station.

Hollie Lockhart, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes, said: “Families have been buying up our homes at Beaumont Place, using Home Exchange, and it’s little wonder why.

“We have many enquiries from locals and Londoners and there is a lot of interest from growing families who are looking to raise their children in a beautiful rural location with excellent schooling and local amenities nearby.

“Our five-bedroom properties are also very popular and with Petersfield being voted one of the UK's top market towns, we’re expecting them to sell very soon."

Purchasing schemes are available at Beaumont Place including Home Exchange, Help to Buy – Equity Loan and the Key Workers initiative, which offers discounts to employees of certain government bodies.

With Home Exchange, Bovis Homes will purchase a buyer's current property, meaning they avoid estate agent fees and complicated transaction chains.

The homeowner's property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for their property to be valued, then make an offer based on the valuation.

The buyer then reserves their new Bovis Home and the housebuilder will manage the entire sales process on their behalf.
