More than 40 visitors headed for a new-build location to enjoy a national housebuilder’s special summer garden party in Bishop’s Itchington.

Families enjoyed face painting, a circus skills workshop - including plate spinning - garden games and a special barbecue at Bovis Homes’ Furrowfields location, on Knightcote Road.

Home owners and prospective buyers viewed show homes, met other residents and talked to the Bovis Homes team at the community event.

Housebuilder colleagues are also set to see local residents at Bishop’s Itchington’s Scarecrow Trail later this month.

Andrea Butterworth, Bovis Homes sales advisor at Furrowfields, said: “This was a wonderful event for home hunters, buyers and their families, who loved looking around our show home and taking part in the various activities we had on offer – including the circus skills workshop!

“House buyers were also able to seek advice from an independent financial advisor and see the variety of quality homes we have for sale at Furrowfields.

“We can’t wait to see more families at The Scarecrow Trail, in a few weeks’ time – where we will have a scarecrow dressed as a Bovis Homes site manager!”

Ian Andrews, Bovis Homes’ real site manager at Furrowfields, said the quality of properties at the location were second-to-none.

There is currently a waiting list for the housebuilder’s one and two-bedroom bungalows, which are proving particularly popular.

“This is a fantastic location with properties for individuals, couples and families built to the highest standards,” he said.

Ian has just won the National House Building Council (NHBC)’s Pride in the Job Quality Award, after being selected from more than 16,000 site managers across the UK.

Pride in the Job celebrates the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality. After 12 months of rigorous judging, these first-round winners excelled and will now go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence Awards and Regional Winner titles.

The Furrowfields team also won a commended best site award in the 2019 NHBC Health and Safety awards.

Bishop’s Itchington’s Scarecrow Trail takes place in the village on 21st September.
