Festive fun brings new neighbours together

- 07 Dec 16

A local house builder has been helping neighbours get to know one another at a location in Oxfordshire by bringing them together for a Christmas party - before they've even moved into their new homes!

Bovis Homes' 'meet your neighbours Christmas party' was a huge hit with the future residents of Heyford Park The fun-filled day was packed with games and activities for the 20 children and their parents who will be moving into the location over the next couple of months. Santa also made an appearance at the event in Upper Heyford and gave out presents, helping to get the guests into the Christmas spirit!

"We had a fabulous time and loved meeting everyone! There is a nice group of people moving in and we are really looking forward to spending more time with them," says Janet Sloan, who went to the event with her five-year-old daughter Molly. "The sales advisors really went above and beyond what you'd expect - they put in so much hard work and it really showed!"

Santa's elves organised games including pass the parcel, musical statues and stuck-in-the-mud, and there was a photo booth available for the children to take photos of themselves with their new friends.

"It was a fantastic day with a lovely atmosphere - full of festive cheer!" says Bovis Homes Sales Advisor, Lauren Glassford. "At this time of year, it's a great excuse to bring communities together and we thought this would be the perfect chance for the new residents to meet!"

"This is the second 'meet your neighbours' event we've held and as a result of the first event, four of the families are actually meeting up for a meal! They all have plots next to each other, so it's really lovely that they'll know their neighbours before they even move in."

Providing a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes, the popular Heyford Park location provides contemporary living in a vibrant village environment. Further facilities, including a new school and gym have been built at the location, and with stunning rural views the location is highly desirable for families.

"We're looking forward to welcoming the residents to their new homes - Heyford Park is on its way to becoming a fantastic, close-knit community and some of the residents haven't even moved in yet!" says Lauren.
