First-time buyers over the moon with their new-build home in North Whiteley

Budding photographer Toby and his partner Maddy were among the first residents to move to Bovis Homes’ North Whiteley location – and they have been enjoying life in their first home together.

Since the Government lockdown, Toby and Maddy have been appreciating their new-build home, at Bovis Homes’ – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – Whiteley Meadows, all the more.

The first-time buyers, who both grew up in the county, said saving for a new home after university had been much better than renting and they were delighted with their decision.

Toby said: “We are over the moon to be living in our first home together. It feels incredible to be in a place that we can call home! The Bovis Homes team were extremely helpful for us first-time buyers with no previous experience of the property market. They were attentive and reassuring, and without their support I’m not sure we’d be home owners now.”

Maddy spotted Whiteley Meadows on the Bovis Homes website, while Toby was away working on a project in Spain. She said being able to choose features in a new home that had plenty of space was a huge bonus.

“We are extremely thankful that Bovis Homes were able to build a house that has fulfilled and surpassed our expectations,” Maddy said.

“We toyed with the idea of renting last year but decided instead to move back home with our parents after university, so we could save a deposit to buy a new home. We are both Hampshire raised and didn't want to move away.

“At this stage of our lives a new-build property suits our needs best. Especially considering we could choose the design of our kitchen, flooring and bathroom at no extra cost. Plus, it's incredibly exciting seeing your house grow brick by brick until it's complete!

“It feels brilliant to be in a place that we can call home and have a space where we will be able to entertain family and friends.”
