First-time buyers and families are invited to Bovis Homes’ Stondon Park location, off Station Road, to view the new-build homes available and learn more about the Help to Buy – Equity Loan initiative.

The Help to Buy event will take place on Saturday, 28th September from 11am-4pm and visitors will be able to speak with Bovis Homes’ sales colleagues.

Heather Suffield, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes, said: “Our Help to Buy event at Stondon Park promises to be a brilliant opportunity for first-time buyers to view our new-build homes.

“We are very proud of the quality of homes at Stondon Park and that we have great options for those wanting to climb onto the housing ladder.”

Lower Stondon has a golf club, football club and is well known for its summer car boot sales. Swimmers can take the plunge at nearby Biggleswade or Hitchin and there are many scenic walks.

The village has its own lower school and a children’s centre for those with under 5s. There are middle and senior schools nearby.

The main A600 runs through Lower Stondon linking to Bedford. The M1 is just 13 miles away. For train travel, there are stations at Arlesey and Hitchin. Both stations have direct services to London and Cambridge and you can reach London King’s Cross in 40 minutes from Arlesey. For international flights, Luton Airport is about 14 miles away.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.
