Five-star housebuilder set to open doors as new plans get green light at Twigworth location

- 19 Oct 20

A five-star national housebuilder is to celebrate the launch of its new £195million Gloucestershire location, where it has just received final approval for a second phase of more than 150 homes. Vistry Group has secured reserved matters planning consent for 159 Bovis and Linden Homes in Twigworth, where a total of 725 properties are to be built, and the housebuilder will be investing £6.9million in the community. This first phase of 79 homes, off Tewkesbury Road, will feature house designs from Bovis Homes’ latest collection including two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom homes. There will also be Bovis and Linden show homes at the new Twigworth Green Visitor Centre which is opening in January 2021. Nicola Goldsmith, sales and marketing director at Vistry Cotswolds, said: “We are very excited to be officially launching Twigworth Green and we have a fantastic selection of properties available for all types of home buyer, as well as much-needed affordable homes. “Vistry will also be investing £6.9million into the local area and we look forward to completing a thriving community for families to enjoy public green space and excellent transport facilities in a beautiful part of the country.” Vistry Group was awarded its five-star rating for quality and service by its own customers through the Home Builders Federation national survey in March 2020. The two, three and four-bedroom homes have countryside nearby, but are also close to cities and towns in the county, with good transport links for commuters. Highways, footpaths, public transport and public open spaces will feature at the location and there will be significant community investment in sport, leisure and education. Twigworth Green is just off the A38, which links Tewkesbury, eight miles away, to Gloucester, which is less than three miles away. From Gloucester there are trains direct to Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham and Worcester. Work on phase two of Twigworth Green will begin next year which will feature properties from Linden Homes’ collection. The location will include 471 private units in total, as well as 254 properties designated as affordable housing with a mix of tenures. Home buyers will be able to reserve three-bedroom Bovis Homes properties from later in October, with two-bed and four-bed homes coming in 2021.
