Help for Animals in Distress

- 06 Jan 21

Staff at Bovis Homes donated a large collection of pet food, bedding, toys and treats to Animals in Distress over the festive period. Based in Ipplepen, the charity rehomes and looks after cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs in the South Devon area. Commenting on the donation, Rowana Rowan from Animals in Distress, said: “Bovis Homes has supported us for three years running and we are very grateful for their contributions, especially in a very difficult year. Fundraising and donation is an important part of what we do, we have nine charity shops, run a weekly lottery and hold events and appeals like the Big Bark Appeal. This year has made fundraising difficult so the help we receive makes a real difference to us.” Jo Farr from Bovis Homes added: “We were pleased to be able to help Animals in Distress. We received so many donations from staff, many sending items online as they were working from home – it really shows how much animals mean to us all, especially over the last 12 months. Providing love and companionship, a pet makes such a difference and no-one wants to think of an animal without a home and suffering. We’re happy to have been able to help.” Visit animalsindistress.uk.com for further information on the organisation and the important work it does and www.bovishomes.co.uk for more details on Bovis Homes.
