Holiday surprise as lifelong Luton locals make big Flitwick move

- 20 Nov 17

Moving away from Luton to a smaller Bedfordshire town was a big decision for the Boyce family, but it has paid off as they love living in their new home and neighbourhood - and to top it off, they have also bagged themselves a free holiday!

Gemma and Keiron Boyce moved to Bovis Homes' new Froghall Fields location in Flitwick with their three children, Parker (14) Kelso (10) Faren (7) and Bear, their long-haired Chihuahua, and have been amazed at how quickly they have settled into their new surroundings.

"Keiron and I have lived all of our lives in Luton and it was a big transition for the children, moving schools and leaving their friends, but everyone has settled in so well!" says Gemma. "We absolutely love living in Froghall Fields!"

The family's delight with their new home was extended even further when they found out they were winners in Bovis Homes' Holiday Heat Wave prize draw, receiving a £500 holiday voucher.

Gemma, Keiron, Parker, Kelso, Faren and Bear had entered the prize draw by posing for a photo in the sales office using the special holiday selfie frame, which was then randomly selected from entries across the house builder's Northern Home Counties region.

"We were very shocked to have won the voucher, but it was a lovely surprise." Says Gemma. "We absolutely love the sales advisors, Marc and Sarah, and they encouraged us to enter and we're so glad we did.

"It's Keiron's 40th birthday next year, so we are going to put the prize towards a weekend away to celebrate the occasion."

One of the reasons Gemma and Keiron chose to move to their new four-bedroom Montpellier home at Froghall Fields was its locality to the train station, allowing Keiron to easily travel into London for work as a software delivery manager, while still being close enough to Luton for Gemma's job at a children's centre, where she is a family support worker.

However, Gemma has discovered many other benefits to living at the location. She says: "Having a dog, we are much closer to big parks where we go for family walks at the weekends.

"It's great living in a smaller town and being so close to Ampthill, we can walk somewhere for a coffee which is really nice, or just have a mooch around the shops or go out for a meal. I've also joined a lot of classes at the leisure centre as we live so close. The children have also made lots of friends so their social circle is much bigger. This is great, but it has meant their social lives are much more hectic!

"From the sales team to the site managers, everyone at Bovis Homes have been really lovely and helpful and made the whole experience of moving much less stressful."
