Home buyers snap up housebuilder’s Shefford new-builds–now there are only a few left

Home hunters in Shefford need to be quick to snap up a new-build home as there are only a handful remaining at a housebuilder’s location in the town.

Bovis Homes' Campton Fields location in Shefford
Bovis Homes - part of the newly-formed Vistry Group - has just a small selection of properties left at Campton Fields, on Campton Road.

They include one five-bedroom Ascot, one five-bedroom Winchester, plus four-bedroom Millow and three-bedroom Southwold house types.

There are also purchasing assistance schemes including the housebuilder’s Home Exchange and Smooth Move and the Government’s Help to Buy – Equity Loan initiative.

Alison Tindle, regional sales and marketing director at Bovis Homes, said: “House buyers need to be quick if they want to purchase one of our fantastic properties at Campton Fields.

“We have a selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes, and only one of certain house types left, so make an appointment while they’re still available!”

The Ascot and Winchester house types have open-plan kitchens with family areas and separate dining rooms, sitting rooms, and studies. There are bi-fold patio doors to the back garden.

The Millow and Southwold have French doors to the back garden and the Millow has a dual-aspect sitting room.

Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange sees the housebuilder buying the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Alternatively, buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of the housebuilder’s Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder liaising with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

With the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.
