Home hunters enjoy special packages as housebuilder launches moving campaign

Home hunters wanting to move into a new-build property in the coming months could have their stamp duty paid or six months of their mortgage paid thanks to a housebuilder’s new campaign.

Time to be Moved – launched by Bovis Homes – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – aims to take the stress out of moving for those climbing or putting their first foot on the housing ladder.

It is available in the housebuilder's Mercia location, which covers locations across Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire, Nottingham and parts of the West Midlands

Buyers can also choose a flooring package from the campaign, which can be used on two to five-bedroom homes, alongside other incentives including the extended key workers initiative and the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.

Louise Macrae, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes, said: “We’re delighted to launch our Time to be Moved campaign which promises to take the hassle of the moving process away from home buyers. Purchasers can choose either the mortgage or the stamp duty or flooring packages on offer. The flooring option can also be used alongside the Help to Buy scheme.

“The mortgage-paid offer will take buyers up to the middle of December and beyond meaning they can take some of the pressure out of Christmas this year by being able to save more efficiently. Bovis Homes properties are offered in great locations with open green spaces and plenty of new walkways.

“They can be used for properties in our new housing range, which offer more space with wider hallways, open plan living and en suites and flexible living space.”

For buyers who own their own home already, the option to use Bovis Homes’ Smooth Move or Home initiatives is available.

Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange sees the housebuilder buying the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Alternatively, buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of the housebuilder’s Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder liaising with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Bovis Homes already runs an attractive purchasing package for key workers, which has now been extended until the end of 2020 to include all those who have signed up for the recent NHS volunteer scheme – as well as all those newly-classified by the Government as key workers in the battle against the coronavirus.
