Home hunters in Shifnal visit new-build location by housebuilder with environmental focus

Home hunters keen on a move to Shifnal can visit a new-build location by a housebuilder that is focused on its environmental impact and has released properties from its new collection.

Bovis Homes, which has homes available at Iddeshale Gardens, on Haughton Road, has matched the space and countryside feel that surrounds it and many of the properties offer beautiful open space views.

Iddeshale Gardens also features a large balancing pond, that has been created to act as a temporary water storage facility but will also become a permanent environmental feature to encourage wildlife in the future.

Bovis Homes properties at Iddeshale Gardens are around 65 per cent more energy-efficient, use 30 per cent less water and are 50 per cent cheaper to run than an equivalent Victorian house, according to Home Builders Federation figures, keeping home owners warm in the winter and saving them money on utility bills.

The housebuilder, which is reducing the size of its carbon footprint on locations, also offers double-glazed windows and doors, lower CO2 emissions, water saving systems, efficient boilers and quality insulation.

Bovis Homes has special offers on selected plots including a five per cent deposit match or stamp duty paid; an interior design package, worth up to £5,000; flooring; and £1,000 worth of legal fees.

House types at Iddeshale Gardens include the three-bedroom Southwold and Spruce, fourbedroom Aspen and Chestnut and five-bedroom Birch and Chester.

All have a 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty and prices at the location start from £299,995.

Purchasing schemes include the Government’s Help to Buy Equity Loan initiative, Smooth Move, Home Exchange, plus the housebuilder’s Key Workers scheme.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of Bovis Homes' Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder dealing with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange initiative means the housebuilder will purchase the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Meanwhile, the Key Workers initiative offers great discounts to employees of certain public sector bodies.

Bovis Homes’ new housing collection, which includes two to five-bedroom homes that have been designed and developed by the company over the last 12 months, are named after British trees and focus on well-proportioned exteriors with a real sense of light and flow on the inside.
