Home hunters keen on a move to Shrewsbury can visit a new-build location by a housebuilder that has spent more than £1.7 million in the town.

Bovis Homes' Bowbrook Meadows location in Shrewsbury
Bovis Homes, which has homes available at Bowbrook Meadows, off Mytton Oak Road, is supporting the local community and working closely with Shropshire Council to deliver improvements in education and transport.

Bowbrook Meadows has new footpaths and plenty of open-space landscapes and there are plenty of purchasing options for home buyers to choose from.

Play areas have been built for children and the housebuilder has introduced balancing ponds as a temporary water storage facility that will become a permanent environmental feature to encourage wildlife.

Elaine Cartwright, regional sales and marketing director at Bovis Homes, said: “Bowbrook Meadows is a stunning location within the historic town of Shrewsbury and Bovis Homes is proud to have invested heavily in the local community, providing a vital boost to education and transport.

“We are proud of our contribution to the town and the outstanding, energy-efficient homes we have here. We support home buyers and families as best we can, with great open spaces, facilities and also purchasing schemes to help people move into their own brand-new property.”

Bovis Homes properties at Bowbrook Meadows are around 65 per cent more energy-efficient, use 30 per cent less water and are 50 per cent cheaper to run than an equivalent Victorian house, according to Home Builders Federation figures, keeping home owners warm in the winter and saving them money on utility bills.

The housebuilder, which is reducing the size of its carbon footprint on locations, also offers double-glazed windows and doors, lower CO2 emissions, water saving systems, efficient boilers and quality insulation.

Bovis Homes has special offers on selected plots including stamp duty paid; an interior design package, worth up to £5,000; flooring; and £1,000 worth of legal fees.

"We have a great range of purchasing assistance options at Bowbrook Meadows,” Elaine added.

“Our interior designer will help you style your new home the way you want and we’ll give you up to £5,000 to spend plus one-to-one consultations.

House types at Bowbrook Meadows include the four-bedroom Wimborne, Lincoln, Canterbury and Durham and the five-bedroom Oxford and Arundel.

All have large kitchen spaces, reception rooms, en suites and a 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty. Prices start from £307,995.

Purchasing schemes at the location include the Government’s Help to Buy - Equity Loan initiative, Smooth Move, Home Exchange, plus the housebuilder’s Key Workers scheme.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of Bovis Homes' Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder dealing with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Bovis Homes’ Home Exchange initiative means the housebuilder will purchase the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Meanwhile, the Key Workers initiative offers great discounts to employees of certain public sector bodies.
