Shropshire has become a property hotspot for Midlands house hunters and Bovis Homes has two popular developments in the county where new homes are attracting a lot of interest among eager buyers.

Cleobury Park in Cleobury Mortimer is nearing the end of its construction with the final homes now being built, while Oakford Grange in Telford is at the other end of the scale with an exciting show home launch taking place next month.

Regional Managing Director Darrell White said: "The new 92-home neighbourhood of Cleobury Park is really taking shape and sales have been going well. These are among the most sustainable homes we build around the country and the new technology they include, which can help keep energy bills down, is proving particularly attractive to buyers in the current climate. The state-of-the-art system takes outdoor air and converts it into energy that can be used to heat the homes and supply hot water, cutting CO2 emissions by up to a half compared with a traditional heating system, as well as having low running and maintenance costs."

But buyers will have to be quick to get a slice of life at Cleobury Park.

"We still have some four, five and six-bed homes available at Cleobury Park, but family homes in particular have proved popular so we expect them to go quickly," said Darrell. "We're building our final phase of homes there now so should be off site this year, although our customer care teams will obviously continue to be available to help our buyers."

There has also be keen local interest shown in Oakford Grange where a broad mix of 185 quality new homes is being built. Local buyers have already been registering their interest via the Bovis Homes website and the first homes have now been released.

Meanwhile the Government-backed Help to Buy Equity scheme is proving a popular purchase assistance scheme in the county, opening up the market for both first-time buyers and existing home owners.

"We get a lot of enquiries about the scheme from people who are eager to get moving on the county's property ladder but have felt frozen out for the last few years," said Darrell. "To respond to that interest we often stage events at our sales offices to explain how the scheme can help."
