House hunters can now visit two new show homes at an up and coming location in Wavendon, on an appointment-only basis, as demand for new-build homes in the area continues to rise.

Bovis Homes – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – has unveiled the show homes, which are from the housebuilder’s latest range, at its Glebe Meadows location, off Newport Road.

The launch comes after the Home Builders Federation published the results of its latest survey, which shows that across the country there has been a big rise in interest in moving to a better home.

Bovis Homes’ three-bedroom Magnolia and Spruce house types both offer plenty of light and space with open layouts, and can be viewed by booking an appointment online.

Alison Tindle, regional sales and marketing director at Bovis Homes, said: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of these two show homes – our Magnolia and Spruce – from our latest collection. Both are wonderful family properties with plenty of space for children and to entertain guests.

“Wavendon is a great place to live, near Milton Keynes, and we are very proud of Glebe Meadows, which is reflected in the high demand for our homes here. More and more people have been showing interest in moving to a better home and we encourage anyone interested to visit our website and book a phone appointment with us. Those visiting will need to abide by strict hygiene and social distancing rules as advised by the Government.”

The HBF’s recent findings reveal 55 per cent of people polled stated that they now value their home space more than ever. A total of 18 per cent of people want to change the style of their home, with 16 per cent stating whilst being in lockdown their interest in updating their home has increased.

Stewart Baseley, executive chairman at the HBF, said: “Lockdown has been an extremely testing time, during which people have spent much more time than usual in their homes. This has led to a re-evaluation in how people see their homes and what they want from them. As a result, high-quality, environmentally friendly new-build homes specifically designed for modern living are increasingly in demand.”

The Magnolia offers an open-plan kitchen and dining room with French doors to the back garden. There is built-in storage space and bedroom one has an en suite. The Spruce has a dual aspect sitting room and an open-plan kitchen with dining room and French doors to the back garden. Also, built-in storage space and an en suite to bedroom one.

Properties in Bovis Homes' latest homes collection are named after British trees and focus on well-proportioned exteriors with a real sense of light and flow on the inside.

To ensure the health and safety of those who visit sales centres, the sales teams are following social distancing and strict hygiene procedures, including additional hand sanitisers for both staff and visitors and a thorough and frequent cleaning of all areas that may come into contact with both visitors and staff.
