Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards at Bovis Homes' show home launch in Cam
House hunters flocked to Bovis Homes’ new location in Cam, near Dursley – as Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards launched two new show homes for the national housebuilder.

The former Olympic ski jumper officially opened the three-bedroom Hazel and four-bedroom Aspen show homes - from Bovis Homes’ latest collection.

Speaking about the new location, Eddie Edwards, said: “I’ve always worked in the building trade, mainly as a plasterer and my dad was a plasterer too so I grew up around building sites. I find building is a sort of therapy, so it’s lovely to see these new homes here.

“I’ve lived in the local area for over 17 years and the location is so handy for the train, with an easy commute to Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham and even just heading down the M5 to Cribbs Causeway.

“There is everything you need nearby with supermarkets and cafés. When my daughters were younger, I used to like taking them to Dursley swimming pool too.”

Michele Davis, Bovis Homes - part of the newly-formed Vistry Group - area sales director, added: “The show home opening was a wonderful event. The homes here look fantastic and we are sure all visitors on the day enjoyed looking around them.”

Bovis Homes' Millfields development
Any visitor who registered their details with Bovis Homes at the launch event was entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a ski lesson for four people at the Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre, with Eddie the Eagle accompanying the winners for the duration of their lesson*.

Attendees on the day also benefited from some great offers including the chance to reserve a home for just £99 and having £6,000 put towards their mortgage or their stamp duty paid on selected properties.

Bovis Homes’ Millfields development is in the vibrant village of Cam and at the foot of the stunning Cotswold hills. Cam has a bustling community with shops, pubs, local services, a supermarket, schools and sports clubs – and decent transport links, with Cam and Dursley Railway Station.

House hunters can choose from a stylish collection of new three, four and five-bedroom homes, designed with modern lifestyles in mind.

Find out more about Millfields on Bovis Homes’ website. The sales office is open daily, from 10am to 5pm.

*The lesson will be given by an instructor from the Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre with Eddie Edwards in attendance.
