AFC Kesgrave line up in their new kit

A local football team will look the part in their hunt for silverware this season, thanks to a new sponsorship deal with Bovis Homes.

AFC Kesgrave under-15 boys' team will be sporting brand new kit thanks to funding from the house builder, which is currently building the first homes at its new Ribbans Park development in nearby Ipswich.

As part of the new sponsorship, the team will be wearing humming birds, as they sport the Bovis Homes logo on their new home kits, which includes a red and blue striped jersey, blue shorts and blue socks.

"We're very excited to be part of the community here and to have the opportunity to support a local club like AFC Kesgrave," said Bovis Homes regional marketing manager Candice McCabe. "I'm sure it'll be a successful campaign for the team and we wish them the best of luck!"

Steve Noon, manager of Kesgrave under-15s said:  "We're very grateful to Bovis Homes for supplying our new kit. AFC Kesgrave is a relatively new club [founded in 2007] which has grown from the ground up and we've always relied on the support of the local business community. We're hopeful of having a good season, and we at least know we'll look the part!"

Bovis Homes has a long history of supporting the local communities in which it builds and is proud to be joining forces with the football club, which plays in the Suffolk Youth Football League.

The first phase at Ribbans Park, which includes a range of two to five bedroom homes, is well under way, with a number of residents expected to move in in time for Christmas.

The show home and sales information centre on site open in November and can be visited daily between 10am and 5pm.
