Local design students create Sherford logo

- 21 Mar 16

A design by students from a nearby college has been selected as the logo for a major new Devon community that Bovis Homes are helping to deliver.

Sherford will be home to around 12,000 people, and the colourful identity created by designers Jamie Wynn and Allie Couch from the Plymouth College of Art will now feature prominently in the area over the next few years as the new homes and infrastructure are constructed at the location in the heart of the South Hams.

The first official sign has been put up off the A38, marking a significant milestone for Sherford and featuring the winning logo and the strapline, 'Building Futures'.

"We were thrown in at the deep end but it was a great opportunity and it has really built our confidence," said Jamie. "This is not just going to be a logo on a sign, it's going to be everywhere. It's quite an achievement to say we have been involved in a project like this."
