Local firm joins the Sherford story

- 21 Dec 16

As the much-anticipated new town, Sherford, enters its next phase, a local independent estate agent has partnered with Bovis Homes to help home buyers discover more about the exciting properties that are becoming available there.

Located between Plymouth and the South Hams, Sherford will eventually bring a total of 5,500 news homes to the area and Lang Town and Country estate agents will now be part of its story. Developed with sustainability and community at its heart, the new town will include schools, local amenities, leisure facilities and acres of open space and woodland. Sherford has been designed as not only a place for residents to live, but also as somewhere to work, shop and socialise.

Sales and Marketing Director, Wayne Bennett, said: "We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Lang Town and Country, a great independent estate agent with excellent local knowledge and a good understanding of the area. Home seekers can now pop into one of their four offices throughout Plymouth to find out about Sherford, or visit our stunning show homes and sales centre at the location."

Open seven days a week, there are two show homes open for buyers to have a look at to see the style and quality of a new Bovis Home. The six-bedroom 'Kiln' and the four-bedroom 'Heybrook' are built in a townhouse-style over three storeys. The rooms are spacious and light, with large floor-to-ceiling, Georgian-style sash windows. The homes have contemporary kitchens, which include integrated appliances and French doors leading out into the garden.

"We are delighted and very honoured to have been chosen by Bovis Homes as their partner agent for this fantastic location," says Paul Preen, Director of Lang Town and Country. "I grew up in Elburton, so Sherford is something I have been watching with interest over the last 20 years. To see it evolve into a new town, that is beginning its first steps towards becoming a thriving, modern community, is very exciting!"

The first homes released for sale by Bovis Homes are two, three, four and six-bedroom houses, with five-bedroom homes and further house types to be released early next year. Integrated appliances, such as a hob, cooker, fridge-freezer are included as standard in a new Bovis Home.

To help buyers secure their new home at Sherford, Bovis Homes offers a variety of purchase assistance schemes. For instance, Help to Buy is a 75% Government-backed shared equity scheme for new-build properties only requiring a 5% deposit, while with Home Exchange, Bovis Homes could buy your old house to get you moving.

The homes come with a 10-year NHBC warranty and there is also a two-year guarantee from Bovis Homes, managed by regional Customer Care teams who are also available to provide you with advice and direct assistance.

The homes will be ready for the first Sherford residents to move in early next year, another step on the road to becoming one of the most dynamic and social market towns in the South West.
