Local home builder donates Smalls for All

- 24 Oct 18

A local home builder has been supporting Smalls for All, a charity which collects and distributes underwear to help women and children in Africa.

Colleagues at Bovis Homes Northern Home Counties’ head office in Milton Keynes have been raising funds and collecting items for the charity, which has also established an education programme to help some of the poorest children in Africa.

“Underwear is such a basic item that we take for granted in this country, but in Africa there are children and women living in such poor conditions that they only have access to a single pair - or none at all.” says Elaine Taylor, sales administrator at Bovis Homes. “For us, donating a bra or some knickers is such a small action, but for people in Africa it can make a huge difference to their lives.

“There has been a great level of support for the Smalls for All charity,” she added. “We’ve held a cake sale, which raised £50 and the collection box has been in the office for a few weeks and we’ve already managed to fill it.

“We’re continuing to support the Smalls for All and hope to host further fundraising events to raise more money for the worthy cause in the future.”
