Love at first sight for Berkshire home seekers

- 08 Sep 17

When the Randalls looked around a nearby Bovis show home, it was love at first sight and they knew that this was their perfect new house. What they didn't realise was that they would be settling into their brand new Wokingham home in just a matter of weeks.

Ollie and Heather Randall, with children Joshua (4) and Mollie (2), began their home search in Berkshire by looking at second-hand properties, but couldn't find anything which was quite right. It wasn't until a relative suggested that they look at the Bovis Homes' Hatchwood Mill location in Winnersh that they had considered a new-build.

"From the moment we turned up at the sales centre, we could not have been made to feel more welcome," says Ollie.

"We were shown the site map to see what was available and where the plots were located on the development. We were then taken to look around the show home and immediately, without an exchange of words, Heather and I fell in love with it."

The five-bedroom Winchester house type includes a large open-plan kitchen and family area, with bi-fold doors leading out into the garden. The separate sitting room also includes doors out onto the patio area, creating a bright and open living space. There is also a dining room, study and downstairs cloakroom and utility. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms include en suites with a built-in wardrobe to the master room.

"I could tell by Heather's expression that no other house would do and so after Josh and Mollie had decided which rooms they wanted, we headed back to the sales office," says Ollie.

However, the Winchesters were all sold out at Hatchwood Mill, so the sales team called up colleagues at Emmbrook Place in nearby Wokingham to see if any plots were available there.

"Emmbrook Place was where we first met with the wonderful Lynne and Stella, who were waiting for our arrival!" continues Ollie.

The family had a look around the newly built home and returned to the sales centre to find our more information.

"After we had a look around, we started to ask questions - and lots of them. Lynne took all our questions, helped answer them and then we discussed what our options were and what would best suit us moving forward. This made us feel our best interests were always at heart.

"It was all so smooth and slick, and due to the efficiency of Lynne, Stella and the rest of the Bovis Homes team, we managed to move in just two weeks! There wasn't a step which we weren't supported on, even to the point of Lynne offering to help find a removal company if we couldn't.

"We could not be happier. From start to finish, this was easiest move we have ever had the pleasure of making. I have already been recommending the Bovis Homes team to family and friends that are thinking about moving and some of them have already started their own journey of finding their new homes."
