New home buyers hit the right note at Centurion View

Two new residents at Coopers Edge are looking forward to their own 'Green, Green Grass of Home' after winning a competition to see Tom Jones in concert.

Eryn Higgins and partner Sam Garwood will be moving into their new Bovis Home later this month and after going along to a family fun day at the Centurion View location, have an exciting June ahead of them after winning tickets to see the Welsh singing star at Kingsholm.

"We went along to have a look at our new house and then thought we'd have a look round the new show homes," says Eryn. "It was a really lovely event and we decided while there to have an ice cream and enter the competition to guess how many balloons there were in the car.

"I never win anything, so I was thrilled to have won the tickets! We were planning to get tickets to the concert, but as we were buying a new house we thought we better not - so it was a lovely surprise!"

Eryn and Sam are moving from their two-bedroom apartment in Gloucester to a four-bedroom Harrogate house type at Centurion View. Eryn, a primary school teacher and Sam, a Sargent in the army, took advantage of Bovis Homes' Armed Forces Scheme, which provides a discount on a price of a property to serving members of the Armed Forces as well as a package of extras (carpets, curtains, and integrated appliances) and help towards legal fees.

"The scheme is perfect for us," says Eryn. "Sam has had to go out and work in Kenya for five months, which is a shame as he's going to miss the move, but it's great to know that all the curtains and carpets will be sorted and ready for me when I get the keys."
