New Oxfordshire location opens the doors to its show homes

- 04 Dec 18

At the foot of the Chiltern Hills, on the edge of the Oxfordshire village of Chinnor, an exciting new neighbourhood is creating a stir in the local housing market.

Bovis Homes’ Chiltern View location offers a range of stylish two, three, four and five-bedroom properties in Chinnor.

“We are really proud of Chiltern View and delighted to be bringing a range of attractive new homes to Chinnor,” says Bovis Homes regional marketing manager, Hollie Lockhart. “It’s shaping up to become a wonderful new neighbourhood and we’re looking forward to welcoming the first residents.

“The location has been carefully designed, with community in mind, with open green spaces and footpaths running throughout.”

Bovis Homes offer homes designed to suit a modern lifestyle, with open-plan living areas, French doors out into the garden and en-suite bathrooms.

“We have a wide range of homes available at Chiltern View, in a variety of styles and layouts, so house hunters can find their perfect property,” continues Hollie. “Whether you are a first-time buyer, someone looking to move up the housing ladder or a downsizer, we’re sure we’ll be able to find the right home for you.

“To give buyers the chance to have a taste of the style and quality of the houses at Chiltern View, we have two stunning show homes opening on 13th December from 4pm for visitors to look around.”

The four-bedroom Canterbury show home has an open-plan modern kitchen and dining area with French doors leading out into the garden. There is a spacious sitting room and a useful study. The home has four bedrooms with the master bedroom boasting an en suite and a built-in wardrobe.

The Sheringham show home has a spacious hallway which leads off into an open-plan kitchen and dining area and a separate large sitting room. There are three bedrooms and the master bedroom includes an en suite and a built-in wardrobe.

“We have combined a contemporary feel with the luxurious style of art deco. The home boasts stunning textures and colours such as navy, emerald and golds to create a deep rich scheme on a clean white base,” says Sarah Clements of Claude Hooper Interior Designs.

“We have also included some quirky additions, such as the children’s bedroom in the Canterbury house type, taking inspiration from the local railway and including a hand painted mural. The homes really are something special and it is well worth a visit to the location,” says Sarah.

A dream move into a brand-new Bovis Home could be much more achievable than you think thanks to a range of purchase assistance schemes. Help to Buy –  Equity Loan is available for existing home owners as well as first-time buyers and has helped many purchasers move onto or up the housing ladder.

Help to Buy is a Government-backed equity loan scheme, which is exclusive to brand-new homes. Buyers will only require a five per cent deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the house. By securing a 75 per cent mortgage, buyers may be able to find more competitive lending rates and make repayments more affordable.

In addition to Help to Buy, existing home owners can take advantage of Bovis Homes’ Smooth Move and Home Exchange packages.

Smooth Move can save purchasers time and money, with the home builder dealing with the estate agents on the seller’s behalf, as well as paying the fees when the old property is sold. Home Exchange is a part-exchange scheme, where Bovis Homes will buy the customer’s old property, allowing them to move into a brand-new place.

The village of Chinnor includes a variety of local amenities, including pubs, shops, doctor’s surgeries and primary schools. The market town of Thame is just a short drive away and has further facilities and services including supermarkets and an array of independent stores and boutiques.

“We’re delighted to have joined the Chinnor community. It’s a lovely village, close to the Chiltern Hills which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a great place to go for walks and days out,” says Hollie.

“If you’re looking to move home, it’s worth popping in to see the team to discuss your options. Our experienced sales advisors Stevie and Roz will be able there to welcome you and tell you more about Chiltern View and the homes available.”
