Two Wellingborough nurses who are expecting their first child are the 100th to buy a home at a popular new-build location after using housebuilder schemes.

Richie and Diana Richards, both mental health nurses at Isebrook Hospital, have reserved a four-bedroom house at Bovis Homes' Wendelburie Rise in Stanton Cross using Smooth Move and the Key Workers initiative.

One hundred Wellingborough homes have been sold in just over a year at the new-build community where more than 3,600 homes are being built, plus leisure, retail and office space, new schools, public parks and open space.

Richie, who works with patients aged between 18 to 65, said: “We are hoping for a fantastic end to the year with our new-born and in our new home – we cannot wait to celebrate Christmas and the New Year at Wendelburie Rise.

“Bovis Homes has been terrific throughout the process so far and we cannot recommend Smooth Move and the Key Workers scheme enough.”

The first phase at Stanton Cross was launched in August 2018 with Bovis Home completing 22 units last year. A total of 3,000 jobs are set to be created during the project.

Alison Tindle, regional sales and marketing director at Bovis Homes, said: “We are delighted that Richie and Diana are the hundredth house buyers at our Wendelburie Rise location.

“This a fantastic achievement and our Bovis Homes sales team absolutely deserves the superb results it is getting at Wendelburie Rise in Stanton Cross.

“We have a wonderful team there and quality new-build homes that are popular with all types of property buyers and have impressive layouts and open space to suit the needs of those lucky enough to live there.

“To sell 100 homes in little over a year is testament to the great location of Wendelburie Rise, the popularity of our homes and the hard work of our Bovis Homes colleagues.”

Bovis Homes also announced a joint venture with registered social housing provider Riverside at the development, earlier this year.

Buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of Bovis Homes' Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder dealing with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Meanwhile, the Key Workers initiative offers great discounts to employees of certain public sector bodies.

Wendelburie Rise has a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes for sale.
