Partnership brings a range of new homes to Fairford to help local housing need

Representatives from Bovis Homes and social housing provider Stonewater are celebrating a successful partnership which has seen the creation of a new part of the Fairford community, which is now flourishing after welcoming its first residents.

Bringing a range of much-needed new homes to the town, Keble Fields includes a variety of houses available on the open market, as well as for affordable rent and shared ownership, a part-rent, part-buy option to help buyers get onto the housing ladder.

"We've worked closely with Stonewater to bring these new homes to the area," says Nicky Carroll, Partnership Housing Co-ordinator for Bovis Homes. "It has been a positive partnership and we have received excellent feedback during and after the build from the housing association, commenting on the high standards of workmanship and the clean, well-organised site.

"Keble Fields is really coming alive now the residents have started to move in and it has a lovely community-feel to it. The design of the development has been well thought out - with lots of public open spaces and the homes have been constructed to be sympathetic to the character of the surrounding area."

Many of the new homes, including the 12 new affordable, one-bedroom flats, are built in recon stone in keeping with the Cotswold style and Stonewater Housing, which has taken on 60 of the homes, are thrilled with the quality of the properties.

"We are delighted to be providing these urgently-needed new affordable homes in Keble Fields in partnership with Bovis Homes. We hope they will enable more local people, particularly young families, find good-quality housing at a price they can afford, without having to move away from the community," says Matthew Crucefix, Stonewater Regional Development Manager.

With a variety of buying and renting options available for the 120 new homes, the houses have created a lot of interest in the local market.

To help buyers secure their new home at Keble Fields, Bovis Homes offers a variety of purchase assistance schemes. For instance, Help to Buy is a 75% Government-backed shared equity scheme for new-build properties only requiring a 5% deposit, while with Home Exchange, Bovis Homes could buy your old house to get you moving.
